Chapter 25: Justice

Objective: Defeat King Varic

The lack of a bottleneck and close distance of the initial foes is the biggest challenge in this stage. Both sides are mixed physical and magical foes, with a tilt toward physical, but the right side is more deadly overall. The archers are both in the corners, so you may be able to trap them there and prevent them from attacking anyone.

There are a number of stat boosting and higher weapon tokens here, so I would recommend taking the time to clear out both sides. The left room’s biggest challenge is likely to be the fire and arcane mages, but you can use the 80% damage reduction aspect and a high fortitude unit to tank them. The thunder lords on the right can be handled in similar fashion, but I didn’t find them as threatening.

The large throne room is all physical attackers, so you might be able to split into three groups and have some of your physical tanks take the center while you loot the chests on either side. Varic himself does ranged slashing damage, so your physical tanks will be well situated to take him out as well.
